July, 23, Tongwei received the award of Demonstration Base for Chengdu Foreign Talent Introduction Achievement from municipal officials. Senior Technical Consultant Wu Zongwen received the award on behalf of Tongwei Co., Ltd., and accepted interview by media.
Since 2007, the company has introduced over 30 top-level experts from the U.S., Vietnam, Canada and Israel in aquaculture, fish disease prevention, fish fry cultivation, aquatic product processing and preservation for talent introduction projects of tilapia farming technique research, channel catfish farming technique research on largemouth bass and tinca, demonstration and promotion for talent introduction achievement of German mirror carp project, demonstration and promotion for talent introduction achievement of Vietnam basa fish project, as well as domestication technique research on Vietnam basa fish.
The talent introduction projects have successfully introduced fine foreign species of tilapia, basa fish, mirror carp, largemouth bass, and developed temperature control technique of Chengdu Tinca and channel catfish fry cultivation. These projects have effectively promoted fish fry livability, growth speed, feed efficiency and social-environmental benefits. The averaged per unit yield of southern catfish, channel catfish and yellow-head catfish, has raised 18%, with farming cost lowering 10% and economic benefit increasing 12%. Meanwhile, Tongwei accepted overseas invitations and designated experts to Mali, Vietnam, and Japan for technique communication and cooperation, publishing articles afterwards concerning talent introduction experience exchange on China daily.
